🚗💧 While Washing Vehicles, We Consume the Water Needed by Our Seven Cities!
25/06/2025Driving While the number of motorcycles in Turkey is increasing rapidly, this growth brings with it serious traffic safety problems. I hope that the proposals submitted to change the current situation in the light of the analysis of the data will benefit all stakeholders.
📌 Featured Data *:
✅ In the last 20 years, there has been a significant increase in the motorcycle vehicle park. There is a remarkable rise, especially after 2019. 🚀 (The impact of the pandemic on the sector!) ✅ However, in 2024, this increase seems to have slowed down. Is the sector taking its foot off the gas? 🤔
✅ According to 2024 data, motorcycle drivers are at fault in 2 out of every 3 motorcycle accidents. 🔐
✅ In 2024, the top three issues in the ranking of faults in accidents where motorcycle drivers are at fault are:
🛵Speed violation: 60%
🛵Lane tracking replacement: 17%
🛵Migration priority: 11%
✅ The top three issues in traffic rules most violated by motorcycle riders in 2024:
🛵Not using helmets: 40%
🛵Unlicensed / Insufficient Driver’s License: 15%
✅ Motorcycles, compared to cars:
🚧It is involved in 1.5 times more accidents.
🚑It causes 2 times more fatal accidents. According to 2024 data, 4 deaths per day!
🏥It causes 3 times more injuries. The rate of people who die in motorcycle accidents in the hospital rather than at the scene is 1.6 times higher than in automobile accidents.
🚦 Is the expectation that declining motorcycle sales will reduce accidents and deaths realistic? 🤷 Perhaps the most important issue is to raise awareness of motorcycle riders and increase safe driving habits! 💬
