- According to Lithium sectoral usage rates and the amount of Lithium used in devices and vehicles and Statista data*, Global Lithium demand: >2024: 110 Million kg, >2030: 370 million kg
- Unfortunately, there are no efficient Lithium resources in our country.
- What needs to be done very urgently in the triangle of sources, electric vehicle production and battery; “There will be need of sectoral support for battery-battery recycling facilities.”
- According to the EU’s new Battery Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, covering all types of batteries, 6% of the LITHIUM content of batteries and batteries produced from 2031 onwards must be obtained from recycling. In 2036, this rate rises to 12%. In other words, the sector has to DOUBLE in 10 years!
- China’s strategic approach and sustainable setup is something to think about for other Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturers.
